Effective October 20th, the Current Events class has been reinstated. It will be up to the folks who attend those classes to take over the leadership of the class. Either plan ahead for one person to lead the class each week or just take turns starting a topic that you have previously read about. You will have to serve as your own moderators; try to avoid political partisanship. And, of course, make sure you take turns talking; no one should hold the floor for more than 3-5 minutes.
The October luncheon will be held on Friday, October 21st. All Peer Learning members, friends, and family are welcome.
Location: Monterey Mexican Restaurant, 237 S. Elliott St. (in shopping center), Chapel Hill TIME: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM (Note: This is 30 minutes earlier than normal.) Please RSVP to Sonia Hanker, soniathelmahanker@gmail.com, by Wednesday, October 19th, if you plan on attending. Effective immediately the Thursday afternoon Current Events class has been cancelled.
