You can help make Peer Learning the place where people want to come to learn and be part of a stimulating organization by volunteering your research talents,knowledge of local resources, and a few hours of your time.
Curriculum Committee: We are charged with finding new instructors for the spring semester. Meetings are few ( 1 or 2) and most work can be done via email/phone. We are looking for a few volunteers who can seek out instructors in areas (based on the results of our member survey ) such as health, life style (gardening, travel, computers) government,art/ art history, history, science, and potential topics of interest to our members. Facilitator for Current Events: A group of Peer Learners dedicated to keeping abreast of Current Events seek someone who would identify weekly topics of current interest and guide a lively discussion about what is happening in the world today. Discussion guidelines would be generated by the group and implemented by the facilitator.The class will take place on Tuesday afternoons from 3-4 PM.
