Latonya has been with the Department on Aging since March 2009, serving Orange County’s senior community by providing valuable information on Health and Wellness. Latonya graduated with a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Strayer University and Bachelors of Science in Physical Education with concentration in Fitness and Wellness from North Carolina Central University.   She has a vast experience managing Public Health and Fitness & Wellness programs at the Durham YMCA and GlaxoSmithKline. Latonya makes every effort to provide the seniors in the community with fitness and wellness programs that will strengthen their mind, body and spirit.

Due to Hurricane Michael, Peer Learning classes for Thursday, October 11th, are cancelled.  Those classes are: North Carolina History and Life Figure Drawing.

​Peer Learning Second Friday Series will host a social hour
starting at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 12th,  followed by a presentation at 11:00 AM.

The presentation is on:
" Blue Dogwood, Chapel Hill's new public food hall"
